Earlier in November, it was reported that the country could face a severe winter gas shortage crisis. “Consumers need to prepare for the gas crisis,” sources at Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) said.

“Currently, the country’s gas production is 750 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d), while imported RLNG has been around 1000 MMcfd,” the gas utility sources said.

“Gas demand has started to increase and the deficit is expected to peak,” sources said. “Currently, gas supply is 1700 MMcfd, while demand has soared above 2500 million cubic feet per day,” sources said.
