Gazprom Neft is always on the lookout for new opportunities to add value – in existing businesses, but also moving to related or even completely new markets for us. And we are already seeing remarkable results here. For example, barely 15 years ago, the company hardly had a presence in the marine bunkering or in-flight refueling markets. And, today, we are already one of the market leaders in these sectors, operating not only in Russia but around the world. The same can be said of lubricants and bitumens. Whereas 15 years ago we literally ship base oils directly from the factory, by tanker truck, today we offer our customers not only completely new quality products, but also solutions. high-tech customizations to use them.
We are actively developing these business sectors. Our next step in bunkering is going to be in the LNG bunkering sector. Gazprom Neft was the first company in Russia to start building its own LNG bunker – which has already been successfully put to sea, for commissioning, we expect, later this year. If we are talking about the bitumen sector, then the skills we have developed now allow us to set up our own road construction company.
We take a product-based approach to everything we do and believe that complementary products and businesses can emerge at any point in the value chain. The company is already monetizing its skills and competencies in drilling, logistics, developing new technologies and much more. These are only a small part of our income so far, but they will increase.
